Setting up data-collection isn’t simple anymore
Metrion natively tracks key ecommerce and lead interactions directly from WordPress and it’s most used ecommerce-plugin; Woo (Woocommerce).
Native tracking entails that data is collected by listening to the build-in triggers of WordPress and Woo instead of building layers of ‘technical trackings cosmetics’ on-top-off its foundations, making tracking unnecessarily complex and error-prone.
By directly integrating into WordPress you can skip expensive implementation costs and guarantee the highest level of data accuracy for growing your business.
This plugin connects to multiple external APIs based on the configured settings within your Metrion plugin. No data is shared to other external services (aside from Metrion) when using Metrion’s default settings. Data collection can be limited through the plugin’s settings and its integrations with consent management platforms like Cookiebot, Cookieyes, etc.
When tracking of no external marketing channels is activated/enabled, only Metrion’s tracking API endpoints are used. This tracking API is used for collecting a fixed set of user interactions on your website as of this release:
– Visit
– Page view
– Product view
– Product list view
– Search result list view
– Add to cart
– Cart view
– Checkout start
– Purchase
– Form submits
When a user is identified with data like an email address, phone number, this data can be included with each interaction based on the consent configurations within Metrion.
