Developer Notes

  • GDPR analytics gating: When GDPR is enabled, analytics scripts only load after consent. Consent is stored in the ikbase_gdpr_consent cookie with value accepted.
  • Programmatic override: Use the WordPress filter ikbase_allow_analytics to allow analytics even if consent is not yet detected (e.g., on staging or for administrators).
  • Unified search endpoint: Frontend now uses a single endpoint ikbase_search_articles for live search across layouts. Legacy endpoints ikbase_live_search and ikbase_modern_search remain for backward compatibility and are deprecated.
  • Localization: Script data for search is unified under the ikbase-runtime handle as the ikbase_ajax object.
  • Cookies: Session and vote cookies are set with Secure/HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax (on PHP 7.3+).

Can I use custom fonts?

Yes. The plugin supports Google Fonts integration and custom typography settings. [Premium feature requires a premium license.]
